Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Codex or Claude?

Open QuotaGlance Settings, find Accounts, and add the Codex or Claude account you want to use. QuotaGlance opens the provider's browser authorization flow and returns to the app through a local loopback callback. Sign in only with an account you control. Provider OAuth and usage interfaces are compatibility-sensitive, so a provider change can temporarily prevent a connection or refresh.

How do I refresh quota data?

Pull down on the dashboard to request a manual refresh for entitled accounts, or use the refresh control on an account card. Trial and Pro can choose an automatic interval; Free uses a fixed four-hour automatic interval. iOS controls background execution, so the selected interval is not a promise that a refresh will occur at an exact time.

If a refresh fails, QuotaGlance keeps the latest successful snapshot and displays an error state. Reconnect the account if the session has expired.

How does the Widget work?

QuotaGlance provides small and medium Widget families for iPhone and iPad. An active Trial or Lifetime Pro is required to display quota data in the Widget; Free displays an upgrade prompt. Choose the Widget account and the Widget/Watch quota window in Settings.

Widget updates are scheduled by iOS and may not appear immediately. Open QuotaGlance, confirm that current data is visible, and allow iOS time to refresh the Widget timeline.

What is available on Apple Watch?

Free shows the first saved account and its 5-hour quota on Apple Watch. Trial and Pro can choose up to two display accounts and can include Weekly quota data. The Watch app and circular, rectangular, and inline complications use snapshots supplied by the iPhone; they do not store or receive provider OAuth credentials.

The Watch Refresh Data action asks the paired iPhone to refresh. Availability and timing depend on WatchConnectivity, the paired devices, network access, and the provider.

What is the difference between Free, Trial, and Pro?

  • Free: one account, 5-hour data on iPhone/iPad and Apple Watch, a fixed four-hour automatic interval, and no quota-data Widget.
  • Trial: seven days of the same features as Pro. It is a free Non-Consumable purchase and does not renew, charge automatically, or buy Lifetime Pro.
  • Lifetime Pro: a one-time Non-Consumable purchase that unlocks Weekly data, multiple accounts, the Widget, advanced Watch display choices, and selectable automatic intervals.

Free access remains available after the Trial expires.

How do I restore purchases?

Open Settings, select the Pro or membership row, and choose Restore Purchases. Use the Apple ID that originally obtained the Trial or purchased Lifetime Pro. QuotaGlance calls Apple's AppStore.sync() and then rebuilds access from verified current StoreKit entitlements. A completed restore does not itself guarantee that a Lifetime Pro entitlement exists for the current Apple ID.

Where are credentials and quota data stored?

OAuth credentials are stored in the iPhone or iPad Keychain and are used directly with the selected provider. Widgets and Watch surfaces receive non-credential snapshots only. QuotaGlance has no developer-operated backend, analytics, tracking, or advertising SDK. Read the Privacy Policy for the complete current data-handling description.
